Habema’s Rosita Helped The Economy Of Ndugusiga Residents

Radar Nusantara, Sugapa Intan Jaya – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 5 November 2024, the 509 Task Forces, especially the Holomama Post led by First Lieutenant Wanianto, conducted “ROSITA” (Buy up Farming Products) belonging to residents from the Mbilusiga Village, Sugapa District, during their task of conducting areal protection patrol.

The Commander of 509 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, has emphasized to the Soldiers that activities to help people’s difficulties in their assigned areas are the priority in the main tasks of securing the area. Therefore, on Tuesday morning, the Soldiers took advantage of their routine security duty by helping the residents’ economy by selling their farming products.

During the Rosita program, the Soldiers went above and beyond their duty, interacting and communicating with the resident. Despite their financial constraints, the Soldiers used their own pocket money to buy and use the products for daily food. This personal sacrifice of the Soldiers to help the residents’ economy is a testament to their unwavering commitment. The sellers were happy because the Soldiers bought their products. One of the sellers, Mrs. Ria Japugau, was delighted with her revenue that morning and said, “Thank you, Commander 509. God bless.”

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 509 Task Forces’ initiative to buy farming products belonging to residents from Ndugusiga Village. His words: ‘The 509 Task Forces’ initiative is a testament to TNI’s commitment to help the people’s economy to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.’ This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region’s development.
